“Help! Help!” screams a man from a table across the restaurant you and your family are at for dinner. “ My wife is not breathing we need help now!” You jump out of the 4 person booth you’re sat at and run over. “I got this, I’ve watched all 13 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy! I’m basically a doctor!”

The first episode of Grey’s Anatomy to be aired was on March 27th, 2005. The jaw dropping ABC program Grey’s Anatomy is a drama filled series capturing the personal yet professional lives on the interns as well as the residents as they all grow into new and developed characters and become attendings.  

The show takes place at Seattle Grace – Gercy West hospital, which has been renamed to Grey Sloan memorial hospital after two of the main characters died in season 8 season finally. The show constantly welcomes on new cast members with in every season however, once you add a cast member one must go. The rotation of cast members has been occurring for many seasons leaving the show with only 4 original members of the cast left.

Grey’s Anatomy stars the lovely Ellen Pompeo who plays Meredith Grey and is also the narrator of the show as well as who the show originally was based off of. In the current seasons, the show has shied away from the focus of her and has broadened the perspective to multiple characters.

I began to watch Grey’s Anatomy at the age of 4 with my mom. I used to think as a little girl the whole show was stupid and would beg my mom to change the channel as she continued to watch it. Of course I never stoped watching it. I then as I got older grew a new appreciation for the show, I could understand what was happening and how the plot started to unfold. I do not regret one bit ever beginning this show. It is now my biggest obsession. I do believe that it is quite possible I am the number one fan and craziest fan as well.

If a person is looking for a show with intense drama, tear jerking scenes, cliffhangers, a romantic twist  as well as a good laugh, well Grey’s Anatomy is the show that will fulfill all those needs in every episode.
