American Hustle shows the story of a con-artist who is brought in by the FBI to con politicians in Congress. During the movie, we see the story of the con artist, and the story of the agent who brought in the con artist to work with him.

American Hustle was loosely based around a true story with true events inspiring the plot line. This con-artist really lived, and the FBI really went to him for help.

The cast consists many highly acclaimed actors like Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Amy Adams. The movie was a large production that took three years to go from just a screenplay to a movie.

American Hustle kept my attention throughout the entire movie. It was filled with drama between the dynamic characters, as well as some unexpected twists throughout the plot. The directing that David O. Russell did was phenomenal.

The acting was also done very well. The way that events were put into a non-consecutive order was one of the things that kept this movie interesting. The plot went back and forth a little, but not to the extent where it was hard to follow.
