Spotlight shines on: New beverage rule leaves students thirsty

A new rule was made at the beginning of the year that prohibits srudents to have any beverage other than water. Apparently, this rule came into effect  because there was too much spillage and things were getting too sticky, and distracting. This is a silly excuse for a new rule though, because it’s bad enough not being able to eat whenever students want in school, but now not being able to drink seems a little ridiculous to most. The school even sells drinks in our vending machines that would be considered “breaking the rules.” Even most teachers do not follow the rule, because they encourage students to stay awake during a class lecture, and maybe that Dunkin Donuts coffee helps that student out. Some students drink tea to relax, if they had a stressful night of homework, and now have an exam. Some just want to drink something tasty in the morning as a personal treat to start off the day. If a student spills a drink they will clean it up, and there isn’t much else to it.
