Megan Viola, Staff Reporter
Megan Viola is a sophomore in high school at the moment. Megan signed up for journalism due to her passion for writing, journaling and sharing her opinions/ideas. Megan also believes that joining journalism will bring her joy in the day, refreshing her into feeling like herself again bringing back her spark. Megan plans on seeing how she likes this class to decide how long she wants to continue it. Megan loves writing about her thoughts, experiences, short stories, poems and vignettes in her journals. She looks forward to practicing new forms of writing expanding her passion. Megan has a growing interest in photography and bringing small moments into life and even bigger thoughts. She already uses some of her time at home to take photos of any moments she feels are special and scrapbooking her photos in a book, telling a story of her own experiences refreshing memories.
Dance has always had a place in Megan’s heart and will always be there to stay. For almost 13 years Megan has officially been dancing, going on two years for competing, but she has always had a beat to her from day 1. Her favorite style of dance is contemporary conveying deep emotion and telling stories through movement leading to how she got her passion for writing. In her free time she also loves a good ski trip although she is not as passionate about it as dance she loves to make memories with her brother and close family friends. Megan does not yet have a job but every once and a while will get to visit cats bringing them a visit white their owners are away.
Megan highly believes in, “be the original, not the copy”. She will never miss a moment to laugh and be herself. Megan is not afraid of what others think and is confident to not hide her real self or what she is thinking. She loves being with her close friends who always match her vibe, whether it’s the upbeat high energy Megan or winding down, tired and annoyed at everything Megan. In her free time sometimes she loves to just lay in bed with a favorable book indulging into another’s life forgetting what is going on around her. One of her favorite series she has ever read was the “Shatter Me” series entering a world of love, acceptance and fear. Megan is a kind heart sharing a smile at those who pass her and is very excited to dive into this journalism class.
