Emma is a sophomore at South Hadley High School, who has recently joined this year's Spotlight crew. She signed up for journalism due to her interest in writing stories with a passion for expressing her thoughts using the written word. With this year being her first year enrolled in this class, she hopes that the class will be enjoyable and will show her new writing styles of how to write stories. She hopes that with her stories she can spread awareness about certain things or bring attention to things that many people do not realize are as important compared to others. Writing these stories is what interested her in this journalism class. A couple of things to know about Emma is that she enjoys fishing and being outdoors with her family. She also really enjoys learning about the psychology that revolves around criminals, due to her extreme interest in the Criminal Justice system.
