Brady Denniston, Staff Reporter
Ever since Brady Denniston was young, he’s been talking. Storytelling is important to him, as it is for most journalists. When he learned that he could take journalism, he knew it was in his best interest to do so. Brady is a sports fanatic, specifically obsessing over the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Montreal Canadiens. Additionally, he’s invested in sportscasting, a medium he practices for South Hadley Sports Network. Brady has expanded his storytelling prowess through Spotlight, and will continue to do so at the University of Massachusetts’ flagship campus in the fall.
Not only does Brady do play-by-play announcing for basketball, baseball, football, soccer and hockey, he also does public address announcements for said sports. These talents have been displayed in the MassMutual Center, during select Springfield Thunderbirds home games, the Mullins Center during the Pioneer Valley Tip-Off showcase, as well as Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, New York, and the Jerry Colangelo Court Of Dreams at the Basketball Hall Of Fame. When he’s not gasping for breath between sentences during broadcasts, Brady is a server at Frontera Grill, a Mexican sit-down restaurant.
Brady has many passions when he’s not on the sidelines, however. He loves burritos, JM Baseball YouTube videos, and the music of Mac DeMarco.
