Most romantic comedy’s feature a group of women- however in ‘That Awkward Moment’, the plot cleverly revolves around three male friends played by Zac Effron, Miles Teller, and Michael B Jordan. The movie title revolves around the stage of a relationship where you have to ask yourself “So, where is this going?” This is a pivotal moment in every relationship, and the movie exploits it in a hilarious way.
The movie revolves around the reality that love will only find you when you’re not trying to look for it. The plot is developed around a pact made by the three men who promise not to get involved in any more relationships after Jordan’s character is heart broken over a divorce. The closeness of the friends contributes to some genuine comedic scenes.
Although the story-line was a bit predictable, the journey to the climax was one worth watching. The characters were very charming and it had interesting twists that keep the audience engaged in the story until the credits. This is a movie I would recommend seeing with your close friends or your significant other. It’s a movie where you leave the theater with a good feeling and a good laugh.
