Na’la Wilkins, Staff Reporter

Na’la, a sophomore at South Hadley High, is excited to join the spotlight staff. To her, being in journalism is a great opportunity to explore new things and write about her interests. She is very interested in writing about reviews for movies, places to travel, and certain events in and out of school. She chose journalism because she wants to voice her opinion more, learn about photography, and enjoy the power of storytelling. She has always wanted to have the opportunity to write about what she likes/dislikes and everything happening around her.

She is very observant and sees things some people don’t. She likes to create stories out of the things she notices and uses that as a way to express what she is feeling. She works great independently, because she believes that it gives her time alone and is able to think clearly without getting distracted.

Na’la mainly focuses on school and tries her hardest to get good grades, even if that means going above and beyond. Her grades matter the most, so she can get into a good college and pursue her dreams. Her number one goal in life is to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower.

Outside of school, she loves to paint, shop, and hang out with her friends and travel. She loves to do fall cheer and has liked cheerleading since she was younger. To her, it is important to make memories with your friends and family because time moves so fast.
