As I walk towards the open door, I am greeted by the workers with a genuine, welcoming smile. When I stepped inside, I was immediately struck by the wonderful scent of waffle cones. I’ve been to Batch many times and everytime I go, I always say to whoever I’m with, “I wish I had this scent in a candle.” The atmosphere of Batch is so inviting and joyful, it’s definitely the place to go when you need a little pick-me-up. The cleanliness, brightness, and the divine smell can instantly put you in a joyous mood.
As I look at the whimsically decorated menu, my mouth begins watering reading all of the yummy options. You can have flavored lemonades, milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream of course, dog treats, pastries, and much more. Walking up towards the counter where you order, I look down upon me and see all of the flavors. They have a nut-free section, a gluten-free section, and their regular icecreams. I have three personal favorites, Cake Batter, which has small pieces of cake included, Salted Caramel, which has small chunks of brown sugar included, and Coconut Joy, which has almonds, coconut and chunks of chocolate included. Although it’s a hard decision, I chose Cake Batter and Salted Caramel in a small cup. Their waffle cones are my favorite, so light, airy and sweet, but I decided I wanted a cup instead.
I paid for my ice cream and the price was very reasonable. The worker tells me with a bright smile, to have a great day, to enjoy, and to come back soon. I decided to sit in my favorite spot, a booth-like table hidden in a small section of the shop. It’s a nice, secluded area where I have a good view of the outside. Their ice creams are all made with local ingredients, while eating it, you can notice the massive difference between Batch ice cream, and store-bought ice cream. Batch ice creams are very thick, creamy, and so flavorful. Once you try ice cream from Batch, it’s going to be hard eating ice cream from anywhere else again.
