Black Panther 2: The Biggest Marvel Flop to Ever Exist
December 19, 2022
The newest addition to the Marvel movie franchise consisted of a sequel to major box office breaking movie Black Panther. The sequel was called Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This movie was possibly the worst sequel to any movie ever. It was good for having to switch the entire plot of the movie because of the surprising death of Chadwick Boseman. Now replacing the role of T’challa, is Shuri played by Letita Wright. And then there’s Ironheart, stupid looking IronHeart, before I really get into the really bad stuff here’s the top things I thought was wrong with this movie. Warning: Spoilers.
- They spent way too much time focusing on T’challa’s death, it took up a good hour of boring nothing-ness.
- The villain, Namor, was a god, an absolute god, immortal, and the weakness for him was being dehydrated? C’mon that’s so lame.
- The CGI was awful, you could clearly see that the people in the water had CGI faces, like sometimes the mouth wasn’t even moving with the words being said.
- It was way too political for a marvel movie, the whole movie was pretty much about the world being mad that Wakanda had their own natural resources and the world wanted it.
- The new suit ruins the idea of the Black Panther, the Black Panther is supposed to be stealthy and not easy to see, but the new suit has gold jewelry on it or something completely changing the way of the Black Panther.
- Iron Heart has the weirdest looking suit, and the fact she’s supposed to be the new Iron Man is kind of the dumbest thing Marvel has ever done to the MCU. Iron Man can’t be replaced and the fact you’re using someone who can’t even come to live up to the legacy Iron Man had to the MCU, so why even try?
- The final battle was not worth the 2 hours and 10 minutes of waiting for that last battle. It was just pretty much the exact same way the first movie ended, they fight, Black Panther gets really mad and doesn’t realize their power. They defeat the villain and the villain asks for forgiveness and the Black Panther obliges, that’s it.
- The movie was so dark, there were barely any funny parts, it didn’t feel like a Marvel movie, it felt like it was more of a slow drama.
- There were a lot of things left unanswered, questions didn’t have answers and it seemed like there were never going to be answers.
- The post credit scene was the dumbest post credit scene ever made in Marvel history, no introduction to any new marvel character or villain, just a kid who had the same name as T’challa. When I tell you that it was so bad and so random, I really mean it. If I knew the end credits were going to be that I wouldn’t have even watched the movie in the first place.
All in all it was a mid movie. 1 out of 5 paws, don’t waste money or leave the den, wait for it to come out on Disney Plus and then if you’re really bored then you can watch it. Other than that, don’t even bother with the biggest Marvel flop to ever exist.

nah tbh i thought it was better than the first one and most of your points are moot. 1) T’challa died in real life too though so that justified an hour of them grieving. Which wasn’t boring. The same way sad movies aren’t boring. 2) Namor spent his whole life in water. He’s a Fishman. Ofc he got dehydrated. I’ll give you 3 even though to me the CGI was never bad enough for me to ever think about or notice it. 4) Marvel movies are always political. That’s the entire thing that makes most of them good. It’s like One Piece. Most villains attempt to establish a dictatorship and the Avengers preserve freedom (or try to). They had an entire movie literally and only about civil rights named Civil War and it was great. 5) The gold looks better cause duhhh nobody cares about stealth. 6) Yes, she replaced Tony Stark cause that’s how it goes in the comics. Also, she may yet live up to Tony’s Legacy. 7) If that’s your opinion then ok. 8) Of course the movie was dark. This is as close to a virtual funeral for Chadwick Boseman as the public will get. I woulda have been mad if they tried to be more lighthearted. 9) not sure about it. 10) Wakanda is a monarchy of course it’s mad important that he had a son before he died. Not to mention it ends with a tone of hope for this really really sad emotional movie. If you’re not sure just how important it is go watch House of Dragons.

i whole heartedly agree with all your points. black panther was a milestone. but this just ruins the memory of the original black panther and leaves a bad taste. everyone would have been happier if this trash script/story wasn’t filmed.
