Emily loves to write and give her voice on things going on in the world, which drives her to be a journalist. She enjoys the freedom to write whatever you want, which is why she joined Spotlight as a sophomore and plans to continue throughout the rest of high school. She likes to write feature stories and opinion stories most. For sports, Emily does volleyball and lacrosse; with volleyball being the definite favorite. Her favorite foods are sushi and jello, her favorite place to be is the beach, and she has a passion for traveling. She believes journalism is one of the best ways to express your beliefs or to spread information to other people.
