Shannon first became a journalist in 10th grade, at the ages of 15. She joined because she wanted to have a voice in her school. The kinds of stories she likes to write about are new stories, they have a meaning to everyone because it’s about what is going on in the community. The Spotlight accomplishment that she is most proud of is her story about her schools gym floor. She got all of her information and she loved the feeling of having to talk to people on a professional level. The activities that Shannon does also are Marching band were she plays Marimba and does Color Guard, Theater, and plays Lacrosse in the spring. Shannon loves anything to do with music, she sings and plays percussion. She also loves to spend time with family and friends. She also would do anything for another person that needs help.
