Dawson never had a real want or need for spotlight journalism, but he had an open spot in his schedule, and had no other option so by force he had to take the class. He never truly had a plan to become a part of spotlight, but he looked at it with a positive attitude, since he enjoys watching sports and he looks forward to writing some stories about sports games in the future. Dawson is especially interested in the photography part of journalism. Though outside of journalism he enjoys fishing and mountain biking, and in his free time he likes to hang out with friends and work.
