Tigers compete for playoff spot
Spring has just begun and it’s time for the last season of sports. This means that it is the last chance the Tigers will get to bring home some big wins this year.
Hopefully all teams will be successful and will take on the opportunity to score for their teams. As the end is nearing, with every last game, match, or meet, every team has the same goal in mind.
After interviewing lacrosse coach Matt Benoit, he talked about ways of improvement and how he enjoys coaching lacrosse. He has coached lacrosse for twenty-plus years, and he began coaching while still a freshman in high school.
Benoit wants to improve on skills to better his team, “there is always room for improvement,” Benoit stated. Benoit expresses how he will miss all thirteen of his graduating seniors. “I think what I will miss the most about them is their personalities.”
Benoit will have more players being pulled up once he spots their potential of playing on varsity. Benoit also mentioned that lacrosse is the best subject he teaches.
Benoit said he has confidence in the team will go to go to the finals for Central West division. Right now they’re in third place for the playoffs. Benoit is staying positive about the season. They’re 11-4 right now, but still have few games to play in the regular season until playoffs.
