South Hadley Tigers strive for championship titles during postseason

The field hockey team in their playoff game, giving it their all.

South Hadley athletes all have one common goal whether by actual goals, touchdowns, or spikes; all teams this fall are preparing for their playoffs. During the fall sports season (at press times), most of the teams have made it to playoffs. All their hard work and dedication has really paid off during their regular seasons.

Field hockey is going to join playoffs this year and are hoping to bring back their title, since they did not make the playoff cut last year.

Football is making a major come back as they have won their first two games this season, and are hoping they will get the chance to succeed in the rest of their season.

Girls cross country will continue on into the postseason due to their excellence of maintaining the undefeated record of 11-0.

Despite a hard loss against Chicopee, volleyball will proceed to playoffs as well. (At press time), Volleyball and Girls soccer were both anxiously awaiting their seeds in the playoffs.

Cheerleading is attending their leagues November 10, 2013, and are hoping to make Western Mass. Although some of our teams did not make it to the 2013 playoffs, their hard work and dedication has showed throughout each of their seasons. Boys soccer took a hard loss on their senior night against Palmer, which determined whether or not they would be going to playoffs.  The score doesn’t matter, it’s how they played that night. They left their hearts on the field. Same goes for boys cross country. Good luck to all teams.  Hopefully they’ll all have a deep run in their playoff season, and bring home a championship title and make our school and town proud.
