Duda, Miele named “Super Seven”
As spring sports get under way, two South Hadley athletes have received the honor of being named on the “Super 7” list of their respective sports. The “Super 7” is a list that Masslive puts out highlighting the best athletes in each sport.
Senior Sam Duda was named on that list for lacrosse and Senior Mike Miele was named on the list for tennis. Through only three games so far this year, Duda has scored 16 goals and made 4 assists for a total of 20 points. Similar in success, with only one game played so far, Mike Miele blanked Belchertown’s Trent Zulkiewicz winning both matches 6-0.
Miele feels honored to be named to the list for boys tennis. “All the hard work finally paid off,” Miele said. “There are no benefits from it, it’s just a title, but it still feels great to see my name on that list.”
Miele thinks that tennis will make a long run into the playoffs this year. “We should bring the ‘ships’ home,” Miele said. Efforts to contact Sam Duda were unsuccessful as he does dual enrollment and does not attend South Hadley High School.
