Iya has always been a welcoming restaurant that is located in the Commons. From the moment you enter, you’ve met with a warm embrace that sets the tone for an enjoyable dining experience. The dim lights and light music make it a very comfortable and relaxing time. The restaurant is taken care of nicely with an inviting bar/dining counter with a view of the chiefs preparing your meal.
The food is truly what makes it such a great place to be, with every dish blended with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, ramen or something with a modern twist, the menu offers a variety of delicious foods.
For an appetizer I always order edamame, because they are cooked perfectly. They are steamed soybeans with added garlic butter and salt that add the perfect touch. For my main meal I ordered a spicy california roll and a crab rangoon roll and they were delicious! Every bite tastes of fresh seafood and the flavors blend together perfectly. My total came to $34.50 (including tip) which is a reasonable price for such great tasting food.
Whenever I go to Iya all the waiters are always very kind and respectful but this time around the one I got wasn’t. The waitress I got wasnt up beat at all and not very kind with more harsh movements. Usually the waitresses there are very inviting with bright smiles on their faces. Overall my experiences there are always great and I would recommend going to Iya at the Commons in South Hadley.
I give Iya a rating of 5 paws, devour it.
