Bones
Fox presents Bones based on the life story of Forensic Anthropologist Kathy Reichs
First issued on November 28, 2006, Bones starts off with a bang and over the last 11 seasons has become worldly popular. Taking place in Washington D.C. The show is based on Kathy Reichs, a forensic anthropologist and writer, books.
Special Agent Seeley Joseph Booth is a trained sniper from the army, never missing a shot. It is said that he can shoot at a ring miles away and not miss. After his great journeys in the army he decided to be a field agent in the FBI. He’s solved almost every homicide case ever presented to him. After an egregious case, Agent Booth is told to call ‘The Jeffersonian Institution’, where meets the world’s most renowned Forensic Anthropologist, Temperance Brennan and her team.
She can look at any set of remains and tell you what that person did for living, how they walked, how they looked, what they enjoyed doing, if they’ve ever been hurt, how they died and many more things. Doctor Brennan tells agent Booth everything about the person, she’s extremely precise about every detail and it’s up to agent Booth to figure out motive of the killer or the motive of the suicide. these two characters have gone through so much together. The viewer can see their love for each other and it’s so exciting to see them finally be together after many years. They start a family and eventually get married.
They work together side by side and know each other better than anyone. Throughout Bones there is more to these characters than just their jobs. Agent Booth was physically abused as a child and his mom left him and his brother behind. His grandfather Hank took them in and cared for them. Doctor Brennan and her brother were abandoned by both of their parents. She was placed in the foster system and her brother didn’t because he was of legal age and left her. Many different characters that agent Booth and Doctor Brennan meet believe that their childhood explains their personality. Doctor Brennan is rational and her scientific approach to life results as her being an atheist, highly critical toward any religion, and at the same time she believes in the death penalty. Agent Booth is characterized as bold and strong, his approach at solving cases is different than his wife because he believes in making human connections.
I began watching bones in 2011 and fell instantly in love with it. The whole scientist and agents working together is really interesting to watch. The thrilling show keeps me on my toes the characters keep you guessing. It also makes the viewer question many of the Jeffersonian team’s methods to solving conflicts, crimes and mysteries. Bones even teaches one about different advancements in science. My personal favorite episode is “The End in the Beginning” because this particular episode is different than the others, the characters are revealed in a parallel universe. Every role is changed for this one episode and it’s interesting to see how each of the characters lives are different and the same as to the original. I find this show entertaining and educational, it’s a great.
5 out of 5, devour it!
