Biodiesel is superior to fossil fuels

A sign showing the positive attributes of biodiesel

In the State of Massachusetts, biodiesel is illegal. It is not illegal in all states, but in Mass, there is a fine attached to using it.

Biodiesel is an alternative fuel that should be legalized in Massachusetts. Biodiesel is easier to produce than regular diesel. The legal definition for biodiesel in Massachusetts is: non-food-based feedstocks that yields at least 50% lifecycle reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared with fossil fuels. This includes peanut oil, and soybean oil, among others.

Biodiesel should be legal to use in the state of Massachusetts and throughout the country. Biodiesel can be used in any diesel engine with no damage to the engine itself. Biodiesel also puts out less emissions than regular diesel fuel, and even regular unleaded gas.

In the early 1990’s, studies were done to support biofuels. Later, other amendments were enacted to make changes to the  existing amendments and laws.

Biodiesel is not legal in Massachusetts. There is a fine attached to using biodiesel in this

commonwealth.I see no reason that biodiesel should be outlawed in the State of Massachusetts, or in any state in the United States of America.

Biodiesel has two major positive contributions. The first is that regular fossil fuels don’t have to be shipped in from other countries. This can make it much cheaper than using the oil from other countries.

The second is that it produces less emissions than normal diesel or other fuels. It is cleaner than regular diesel fuel, which can be called ‘rolling coal’; because regular diesel pours out black smoke like a chimney attached to an old steam engine.
