Students and faculty at South Hadley High School celebrated their annual spirit week with games and different themes throughout the week. Monday was America day with activities of hot potato, musical chairs, blindfolded piggyback rides, and charades. The rest of the week included sports day Tuesday, 80s day on Wednesday, color wars on Thursday, and Friday was blackout. The week ended off with a charity flag football game between the junior girls and the senior girls.

It was an intense competition between the four grades. Senior Dustin Brownlee said he thought the spirit week went very well. He  said he  saw that there was a lot more participation than in the past four years. Brownlee said, “I knew 90% of kids would participate during spirit week.”

Brownlee said Spirit week didn’t go perfectly and it will be improved for next time. Brownlee said that we could have been more organized and prepared for Monday and would have changed some of the themes. Student Council is talking about having another spirit week.
