Jailene Rodriguez, Student editor profile

Jailene is driven to be a journalist because it's important to her to inform her fellow classmates of all the important and fascinating news around school. She plans to be a part of Spotlight for this (2015-2016) school year, currently her senior year. Jailene enjoys writing about her teachers and classmates and making it a priority to help them get their voices heard throughout their school. She also enjoys writing about outside school events that link to South Hadley and it's high school, she believes that covering these kinds of stories will be beneficial because a student would be less likely to be informed about after school events than during school events. She's looking forward towards being proud of all of her writing pieces that will help students be heard and inform them about current events.

Throughout high school, she's been a part of Student Council, Class officer, Environmental Club, Youth Commission, Peer Leaders, Leo Club and NHS. Jailene likes to volunteer and get involved with South Hadley High School.  During her free time she enjoys watching movies and being with her friends and family.
